The Caro Bowl tennis interclub competition has been around since 1919. It is one of New Zealand's oldest and most prestigious sporting trophies.
It is widely considered as the top tennis interclub competition in New Zealand, and attracts many of the top players, including some touring pros and top local talent, running during a tightly condensed season, from late October to late November every year.
Only the top 8 clubs in Auckland earn the right to play in the competition, which has an annual promotion-relegation format (bottom team gets relegated). The teams play a single round-robin, with the top two teams going to the Grand Final.
Blockhouse Bay again has teams in both the men's and women's competition in 2025. Our BHBTC teams never dissapoint when it comes to our fighting attitude!
